The club website

This website is operated by AUB Music Club through its current Cabinet. It provides club information and services at the American University of Beirut. It is a student-run club website and does not replace AUB's official systems or University policies.

Your account and access

Use accurate information for your own account and keep your password and verification codes private. Do not impersonate another person, share account access or try to bypass verification, permissions or booking limits.

A confirmed account, verified AUB status, club membership and management permissions are separate. Some services require active membership or an assigned capability. Creating an account or submitting a membership request does not guarantee access to those services.

Administrators can suspend account access. If your account is suspended, its reason is shown on the suspension page; contact the club if you need an explanation or believe the decision is mistaken.

Bookings, events and requests

Follow the eligibility, deadlines, availability and booking rules displayed for the relevant service. Requests that require approval are not confirmed until approved. Room reservations are subject to the club's configured policies and operating hours.

Keep booking titles suitable for the member calendar, where other members can see them. Use private notes only for information needed to handle the request. Report equipment problems and contact the club when arrangements need clarification.

Content you submit

Submit only content you own or have permission to use, including profile photos, music-demo links and other contributions. Respect other people's privacy and intellectual property. Do not submit unlawful, harassing or malicious material, or use the website to disrupt club services.

You retain your rights in your contributions. By submitting content for a club feature, you allow the club to store, use and display it for that feature as explained in the privacy notice. This does not transfer ownership of your work.

For a concern about unauthorized content, contact the club with the page or link involved and enough information to identify the concern. Avoid including unnecessary personal information.

Website rights and reuse

All rights are reserved in the original website code. No permission to copy, modify or distribute that code is granted by using this website, except as permitted by applicable law or separate written permission from the relevant rights holder.

Club branding, photographs, music and other content remain subject to their respective owners' rights. Third-party software and fonts retain their own licences; the reservation of rights in original code does not override those licences. Contact the club for permission questions.

Privacy and external services

The privacy notice explains how account and activity information is handled. Optional announcement emails have a separate preference in your profile.

External registration forms, social accounts and music services have their own terms and privacy practices. Check them before submitting information or content on those services.

Availability and updates

Club information and service availability can change. If a page or request is unavailable, contact the club for help or an alternative way to arrange the activity. The date above identifies the current version of these terms.

These terms do not limit rights or protections that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
